A Lucky(幸运的) Man

It is 12 o’clock at night. A young man comes to a forest. He is walking along the forest. He can see a large river and some big trees. Suddenly, he sees two green eyes looking at him from the trees. A wolf is over here.

What does he do? He jumps into the river. In the river there is a crocodile(鳄鱼). Its mouth is very big. And he hears(听见) the wolf jump, but nothing happens(发生). After a few minutes, he finds the wolf is now in the mouth of the crocodile.

My name is Kitty. My family lives in different countries. I live in Canada. My father and my mother live in the U.K. They speak English. My brother and my sister live in Australia. They like to watch kangaroos. I like China. This year I want to go to China with my parents. We know a little about China, but we can’t speak Chinese.

Look! There are many things in the room. The toy car belongs (属于) to me. It’s on the floor. The red bag is my sister s. It’s on the desk. The books on the desk are my sister’s, too. The hat is my father’s. It’s on the wall. That is my mother’s sweater. It’s on the bed. The book on the sofa is my father’s. He reads books every day.

I study in a village school. There are no tall buildings. There are some houses. In my class, there are twenty students. Our Chinese teacher is old and thin. He is very kind. Our maths teacher is young. He is strict. After school, we clean our classroom. Our school is small. But it’s very clean.

My name is Alice. Tomorrow Saturday. I don’t go to school. My parents aren’t going to work, but we are going to be very busy tomorrow. I’m going to help my grandparents with my cousin. My mother is going to cook a big dinner. My father is going to wash his clothes. Then in the evening we are going to the supermarket. We are going to buy some food and drinks(饮料) for the next week.

Look! This is Mr. Zhao. He is near the blackboard. He is a teacher. He is tall. He has a small nose and a small mouth. His trousers and shoes are black. He doesn’t like grapes, but he likes bananas very much.

I’m Song Tao. I’m a boy from Shandong. I’m twelve years old. My grandpa is a farmer. He has a big farm. He has a lot of animals on the farm. He has sixteen hens. They’re white. He has ten cows. They’re big. He has eleven pigs. They’re very fat. He has eight goats, too. They’re black.

On Christmas Eve—the night before Christmas Day children are very happy. They put their stockings at the end of their beds before they go to bed. They want Father Christmas to give them some presents.

Mr Green tells his children that Father Christmas is a very kind man. He comes on Christmas Eve. He lands on top of each house and comes down the chimney into the fireplace and brings them a lot of presents.

Christmas Day always begins before breakfast. The children wake up very early. They can’t wait to open the presents in their stockings. Then they wake up their parents and say: Merry Christmas!

Do you know what Christmas means? Christmas Day is the birthday of Jesus Christ. When Christ was born, many people gave him presents. So today, people still do the same thing to each other.
