Simon is an American boy. He collects stamps. He has got lots of stamps from Canada. There are famous men and women on the stamps. He has got lots of Chinese stamps, too. Some of them have got pictures of the Great Wall. Sometimes he collects toy cars. He has got some toy cars in his house. All toy cars have got Chinese names.

There is a rabbit and a lion in a forest. The rabbit lives in a hole. The lion lives near the hole. One day, the lion is hungry, so he goes to look for food. He sees the rabbit drinking water near the hole. “Oh, that’s my food!” The lion runs to the rabbit. The rabbit is afraid of the lion. She runs quickly into her hole. The lion can’t get into the hole. He says to the rabbit, “I don’t like eating rabbits. I’m here to be your friend.” The rabbit is very happy when she hears that, so she goes out of her hole. The lion eats her.

This is Mary’s room. It’s big and bright(明亮的). There are some kites on the front wall(前墙). On the back wall(后墙), there’s a clock. Look, it is four fifty now!

There is a desk and a bed in her room. The desk is beside the window. Where are her bag and pencil box? They’re on the desk. What’s on the bed? We can see a pair(条) of jeans. Mary likes them, but they’re too short.

Mary and her friend Kate like this room very much. They like to play here.

This is Helen's bedroom. It is new and nice. A bed and a chair are in it. There is a desk near the window. Some flowers are on it. A bookcase is near the bed. Some English books are on the bookcase. There is a picture on the wall. Three people are in the picture. The man is her father. The woman is her mother.

At weekends, some people like to stay at home, some like to go out to play. My brother Leo works in a factory during (在……期间) the day. At weekends he always does the same thing. On Saturday he drives his car to a farm with our families. Our uncle and aunt have a large farm. We can do a lot of things there. My brother and my parents help to do farm work. I help to give food to their animals. At the end (结束) of the day, we all feel hungry. My uncle and aunt give us a big meal. We enjoy (享受) the weekend on their farm.

Kate is from America. She’s twelve. She is studying (学习) at No. 1 Primary School. She’s in Class 2, Grade 5. Alice is her sister. She’s in Class 3, Grade 4. Kate’s English teacher is Mr Brown. He’s From Canada. Now, he is in China.
