We have dumplings. After dinner, we watch TV together. On the morning of the Spring Festival, we wear new clothes, and people say “Happy New Year” to each other. The children can get lucky money. So they like it very much.

Mr. Black has two cats. One is big and the other is small. He likes them very much. One day, his friend Mr Green comes to see him, Mr. Green is very surprised(惊讶的). There are(有) two holes(洞) in the door: a big one and a small one. He says, “Why are there two holes in your door?”

“To let my cats in or out,” Mr Black answers.

“Why not one?” asks his friend.

“Can the big cat go through(穿过) the small hole?” Mr. Black says.

April Fool’s Day is on April 1. People usually play tricks(开玩笑) on others on that day. It’s very popular(受欢迎的) in the U.K. and the U.S.

Mother’s Day is on the second Sunday in May. It’s a holiday to thank mothers. On that day, mothers usually get flowers and cards from their family. Fathers and children will do the housework, so mothers can have a good rest(休息).

Thanksgiving Day is on the fourth Thursday in November for Americans. On that day, family get together and have a big dinner.

Christmas Day comes on December 25. It’s a popular holiday for many Western countries. People don’t go to work and children don’t go to school. Children will get gifts from their parents at Christmas.

There are so many festivals in China. And my family love these greatly. My mother loves Mid-Autumn Day. She buys mooncakes. The cakes are delicious. My father likes this festival, too. He can sing moon songs. His songs are very nice.

Our favourite festival is the Spring Festival. We have a special family party. And we eat jiaozi. At night, there are lots of lanterns and there’s a dragon dancing.

I also like Children’s Day. We sing and dance on that day. Everyone has a good time. All the people like spending festivals.
