Hello! My name is Oliver. I am 11 years old. I am at No. 1 Primary School. It is so pretty. I’m friendly and funny. Today is Monday. We have Chinese and English on Mondays. I like English very much. I can speak English and Chinese. I often play basketball on the weekend. Fish is my favourite food. They are fresh and healthy. My favourite teacher is Mr. Tian. He is our Chinese teacher. He’s tall and strong. He’s very active. My school is near a river. There are some mountains behind my school. There is a park in front of my school. Do you like my school？

There is an unusual(特别的) student in a school in Kenya. He is Steve and he is 85 years old. Every morning Steve arrives at the school and sits down in the classroom. “I can’t read or write, and now this is my chance to learn. It’s very important to me,” says the old man.

Steve has to do the same things like his classmates. He has to sit at the same desk and wear the same uniform—a white shirt, blue shorts and black shoes.

“Steve is a very good student. He works very hard in class,” his teacher Eric says. “He is so smart. Now he can read newspapers.”

Joseph is 8 years old. He and Steve are classmates. Joseph says, “Now Steve is my friend. He tells me interesting stories about the old times.” Charles is in Steve’s class, too. He says, “Steve is very friendly. He’s like a grandfather to me.”

Steve really loves his school life. He says, “I’m old, but learning makes me young.”

Social media(社交媒体) is very popular in the world. More and more people start chatting with strangers online. They don’t know each other, but they have great fun talking about their favourite things. It’s a good way to make friends. However(然而), it’s not always safe. You may meet some bag guys. How to keep yourself safe? Here are some tips for you?

First, don’t let your e-friends get your private information, for example, your real name, your school, your address and your phone number.

Second, don’t send your photos to them and don’t go out to meet your e-friends by yourself. If you want to meet one, don’t forget to ask your parents to go with you.

It’s good to make more friends, but remember(记住) ”safety first”. Always keep this in mind(头脑).

Mr. Green is a teacher. He teaches English in a school. He has a nice family.

In the morning, he goes to the school with his children. They are in the same school. Mrs. Green is often at home. But she sees her friends in the afternoon. The children come home from school at five. And Mr. Green comes home from work at six.

After dinner, the children do their homework. Mr. Green reads his English books. Sometimes Mr. and Mrs. Green watch TV.

Astronauts are in space again! On Oct. 16^th 2021, Shenzhou-13 spacecraft(神州十三号载人飞船), went into space from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre(酒泉卫星发射中心) in Gansu. It carried three Chinese astronauts into space. They are Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu. They came back to the Earth on Apr. 16^th 2022.

During their stay, they had many things to do. They worked on Tiangong space station. They did some scientific experiments(科学实验) and spacewalks. Wang Yaping is very famous now because she is the first Chinese woman to take a spacewalk. She finished a 6.5-hour spacewalk. Together with other astronauts, they gave the first lesson in space on Dec. 9^th. Many students watched it and learned a lot about science.

Hi, I am Amy. Today is November 20th. It is my birthday. In the morning, my mother cooks noodles for me. She also cooks eggs for me. My mother says, “Happy birthday to you! I love you, my dear!” Then, I go to school. In the evening, we have a birthday party at home. Many friends come to my house. They give me a lot of presents. There is a nice pencil case, a funny book, a pink hat and a lovely doll. I like them very much. My father buys a big birthday cake for me. You can see 10 candles on the cake. They sing the birthday song for me. After that, they play games with me and give me a hug. We have a good time.

Alice’s birthday is on November 20th. It’s on Tuesday. She is going to have a birthday party. She wants to invite(邀请) Betty, Ellen and Li Ming to her birthday party. They can celebrate it after school. Today, Alice’ s mother goes shopping with Alice. They want to buy a birthday cake and some other things for her birthday party. Alice is talking about the party with her mother now.
