Look at the desk in my home. It’s big. There are some grapes on the desk. They are nice. Near the grapes, there are fourteen bananas. I like bananas, but my mother and father like grapes. What about my brother? He likes bananas, too.

Peter and Alex are brothers There are four people in their family, Father, Mother, Peter and Alex. They live on the third floor of a big flat.

Peter and Alex are in the same school. They are both members of the school basketball club. They both play basketball very well. They go to the gym once a week. Next week they will have a basketball match.

I went to Jinan with my parents last year. It’s the capital of Shandong. It’s in the east of China. There are lots of springs in Jinan. So it’s also called the Spring City. We visited Daming Lake. Baotu Spring Park and Spring City Square. We also climbed the Qianfu Mountain. We took lots of photos. We had a lovely time.

All the kids(孩子们) are very happy today. They are preparing(准备) for Mother’s Day(母亲节). Amy is colouring a picture. Lingling is writing a letter. Daming is tidying his room. They are tired(累的). But they are very happy.

Many years ago, an old man named Mr Zhu dug (挖) a hole in the field and put 500 yuan in the hole. Then he wrote something on a piece of paper and left it there. It said, “There isn’t 500 yuan here.” Mr Zhu’s neighbor Mr Hu saw the paper and dug the hole again and took the money away. And he also wrote something on the paper and left it beside the hole. It said, “Mr Hu, your neighbor didn’t take away your money.”

Many animals protect their children before they can look after themselves. A catfish(鲇鱼) swims in the river of South America and it protects its children by using its mouth to keep its babies from danger. When a catfish lays eggs(产卵), it carries them in its mouth. It does not eat food at this time. After the eggs hatch(孵化), it swims with its children. It opens its mouth when danger happens, and its children swim inside. They swim out when it’s safe again.

Mr Brown is doctor. His only son, John, is student. He is ten. The child likes to fly kites and play some other games. One Sunday afternoon, John flies kites with his friends. But his kite is in the tree and he can't get it. They don't know what to do. They worry very much and John comes to his father ask for help. His father wants to get the kite down from the tree, but he can't. So John asks him to make a new one for him. The man makes a new kite. When the boy gets the new kite, he is very glad. He thanks his father for the kite and goes out to play with his friends.
